Documents after a marching season, Kellerberrin

2004 - 2005

Two looped DVDs, two ink jet prints, each 59.6 x 84 cm.
Exh.: From Space to Place, curated by Marco Marcon, Perth Institute of Contemporary Art (PICA), Perth, 31 March-8 May 2005.

Two banner marches were undertaken in Kellerberrin on 30 October 2004, the first at dawn, the second at dusk.  The dusk march was followed by a dinner for all those who had participated in the marches.

Traces from these marches were exhibited in the exhibition From Space to Place, an exhibition presenting work by Australian artists who had undertaken the residency at the International Art Space Kellerberrin Australia (IASKA) over the previous year.  The exhibition is touring nationally.

Traces from the two banner marches in Kellerberrin were also exhibited at the Regent Theatre in Kellerberrin in November 2004, in the solo exhibition 22.06.1911/30.10.2004: Documents after Marching Season

Documents after a marching season, Kellerberrin is part of the ongoing project of Marches for another season, an ongoing project of banner marches initiated in 2003.

Traces of the banner marching project have been also been exhibited at the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art (ACCA) in Melbourne, at the International Art Space Kellerberrin Australia (IASKA) in Kellerberrin, and at Spacement Gallery in Melbourne.
